The International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) and Federation of European Ski and Snowboard Associations (FESA) are pleased to announce the opening of applications for the first two Speed Academies within the recently launched Alpine Performance Series: Speed Excellence initiative. The academies will take place in Saas-Fee and Zermatt, Switzerland, and represent the first opportunities for athletes and coaches to participate in this new development program.

The Speed Academies are designed to support the advancement of alpine speed disciplines by providing targeted training and development opportunities in a high-performance environment. Participants will benefit from expert guidance, technical development, and valuable knowledge-sharing opportunities aimed at enhancing athlete performance and long-term success in speed events.

Detailed information regarding each Speed Academy, including eligibility criteria, program content, and application requirements, is available in the respective Call for Applications documents. Interested NSA are invited to submit their applications through the registration links provided in these documents.

The application deadline for both Speed Academies is 1 September 2026.
