FESA 3 Hills Tour brings young Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined talents to Pöhla, Klingenthal, and Bischofsgrün
The very first edition of the FESA 3 Hills Tour came to an inspiring conclusion this weekend after four days of intensive training and competition across three ski jumping venues in Saxony and Bavaria (Germany). From August 13–16, promising athletes aged 12 to 14 competed in Pöhla, Klingenthal, and Bischofsgrün.
With its clear focus on the development of young athletes, the tour offered a valuable platform for emerging talents to compete against international competitors. The tour began with an individual competition in Pöhla, followed by a mixed team event in Klingenthal and a combined obstacle race in Bischofsgrün. In between, there were numerous training sessions to develop ski jumping techniques.
The competitions were marked by impressive performances and close battles for the overall standings. The overall ranking of the inaugural FESA 3 Hills Tour, which combined results from Pöhla, Klingenthal, and Bischofsgrün, was ultimately decided in favor of Julian Schonhardt (GER) in the boys’ category and Mara Häfner (GER) in the girls’ category. Both athletes demonstrated remarkable consistency and skill across all three stages, earning well-deserved overall victories.
The Federation of European Ski and Snowboard Associations (FESA) warmly thanks the organizing clubs in Pöhla, Klingenthal, and Bischofsgrün. Their commitment and professionalism were key to the success of this premiere event, creating a great atmosphere for athletes, coaches, and spectators alike.
With its successful debut, the FESA 3 Hills Tour has laid a strong foundation for the future, highlighting the importance of nurturing young Ski jumping and Nordic combined talent and fostering international cooperation.
