FESA Alpen Cup Nordic Combined 2026/27 set for season opener in Villach
The FESA Alpen Cup Nordic Combined 2026/27 is ready to get underway. The season opens this weekend in Villach, Austria, from 18 to 20 September 2026, bringing together young Nordic Combined athletes for the first competitions of an extensive international season.
Despite the IOC’s decision to remove Nordic Combined from the Olympic programme, FESA remains committed to supporting the development of the sport and, in particular, its young athletes. For the 2026/27 season, FESA has once again organised a comprehensive Alpen Cup series, offering a large number of competition opportunities throughout the summer and winter.
The season opener in Villach will feature two Individual Gundersen competitions for both men and women. The ski jumping competitions are scheduled to start at 10:00 a.m. on the competition days. All decisions on the jumping hill can be followed live via the FESA Live Ticker on the FESA website.
The cross-country roller-ski races are scheduled around midday, with the first race starting at 12:40 p.m. on Saturday and at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday.
Seven venues across the season
Following the opening weekend in Villach, the Alpen Cup Nordic Combined will continue with two further summer stops:
- Liberec, Czech Republic – 25–27 September 2026
- Predazzo, Italy – 16–18 October 2026
The winter season will then continue at four venues:
- Seefeld, Austria – 18–20 December 2026
- Chaux-Neuve, France – 8–10 January 2027
- Rastbüchl, Germany – 12–14 February 2027
- Oberstdorf, Germany – 12–14 March 2027
With seven competition weekends and numerous opportunities to compete internationally, the FESA Alpen Cup provides an important platform for young Nordic Combined athletes to gain experience, develop their skills and continue their sporting careers.
The new season starts in Villach — and the road through the 2026/27 Alpen Cup season begins now.
