Monday, January 26, 2026

The FESA Continental Cup Cross-Country Skiing continued with a highly atmospheric fourth stop in Gressoney, Italy, from 24–25 January 2026. Set at the foot of Monte Rosa in the Valais Alps, the venue provided a memorable backdrop, especially on Sunday when heavy overnight snowfall transformed the courses into a true winter wonderland.

The competition program opened on Saturday, 24 January, with a Sprint Classic (C). Victories were claimed by

  • Men: Matteo Correia (FRA)

  • Men U20: Nolan Gertsch (SUI)

  • Women: Daphne Patois (FRA)

  • Women U20: Nina Cantieni (SUI)

On Sunday, 25 January, athletes contested an Individual Classic (C) over 10 km. Despite the challenging conditions caused by significant fresh snow, the organizers delivered a fair and well-prepared course. The winners on Sunday were:

  • Men: Giandomenico Salvadori (ITA)

  • Men U20: Daniel Pedranzini (ITA)

  • Women: Lisa Lohmann (GER)

  • Women U20: Vanessa Cagnati (ITA)

Following the races in Gressoney, the leaders in the overall FESA Continental Cup standings are:

  • U20 Women: Sarah Hofmann (GER)

  • Women: Theresa Fürstenberg (GER)

  • Men U20: Federico Pozzi (ITA)

  • Men: Victor Cullet Calderini (FRA)

The combination of demanding races, fresh snowfall, and the impressive alpine scenery underlined Gressoney’s strong reputation as a cross-country skiing venue and made this weekend a success.

The FESA Continental Cup will continue with its next stop in Nove Město, Czechia, from 14–15 February 2026, as the race for overall standings intensifies.
