FESA Skijumping Alpencup at Chaux Neuve (FRA)
On the first day of the competitions in Chaux-Neuve, Slovenia’s Tina Erzar claimed victory, beating overall leader Anezka Indrackova(CZE) into second place. Although Anezka saw her chances of winning diminish after the first round, she delivered an impressive jump of 103 meters in the second round, tying with Erzar for the day’s longest jump. Thanks to her consistent performance, Anezka Indrackova retains the yellow jersey as the overall leader in the FESA Alpencup.
The podium also featured a strong performance from Julina Greibich of Germany, underscoring the impressive team effort by the German squad. The Top 3 was rounded out by Slovenia’s Taja Sitar. Notably, four of the top six athletes of the day have already gained valuable World Cup experience.
The Austrian dominance continued in the men’s FESA Alpencup, though the competition was tighter this time. Niki Humml and Lukas Haagen shared the victory for Austria, while Germany’s Max Unglaube and Robin Kloss secured third and fourth place, respectively. Fifth place went to Austrian Jakob Steinberger, with Slovenia’s Urban Simnic completing the Top 6. In the overall standings, Niki Humml remains firmly in the lead.
On Saturday, the women’s competition saw a reversal of fortunes: overall leader Anezka Indrackova delivered two stunning longest jumps of the day to claim victory, ahead of Slovenia’s Tina Erzar. Third place went to Germany’s Lia Böhme, followed by her teammate Kim Amy Duschek. Italy’s Martina Zanitzer broke into the Top 6, pushing Friday’s third-place finisher, Julina Greibich, down to sixth. Indrackova remains in yellow after the weekend.
For the Austrian men, Saturday marked a “return to normality.” Only Germany’s Max Unglaube, who finished fourth, managed to break into Austria’s strong lineup. The day’s win went to Jakob Steinberger, followed by Johannes Pölz in second and Niki Humml in third. Just missing the podium by 0.2 points was Max Unglaube, followed by Lukas Haagen and Clemens Vinatzer. In the overall standings, Niki Humml retains his lead.
