First International Experience for Many at Exciting FESA Games in Tschagguns
The FESA Games 2025 took place in Tschagguns, Austria, on October 25–26, 2025, bringing together the most promising young athletes from across Europe in Nordic Combined and Ski Jumping. Around 130 athletes — 50 girls and 80 boys born between 2011 and 2013 — took part in two days of exciting competition.
For many of them, it was their first international event, making the experience both memorable and inspiring as they took their first steps on the international stage.
The event once again marked a successful step in FESA’s mission to promote youth development and international cooperation in winter sports.
Opening Ceremony
The FESA Games began with an impressive opening ceremony attended by distinguished guests, including Eva Pinkelnig — Overall World Cup Champion, 16-time World Cup winner, and currently recovering from injury — as well as Gerhard Vonier, Mayor of Tschagguns, and Peter Scrivener, President of the Vorarlberg Ski Federation. Their presence underlined the importance of this youth event for the future of Nordic Combined and Ski Jumping.
Day 1 – Individual Competitions
The first day featured individual events in both Nordic Combined (NC) and Ski Jumping (SJ). The winners were:
- Mara Haefner (GER) – NC Girls
- Maks Grasic (SLO) – NC Boys
- Amy Dögl (AUT) – SJ Girls
- Elwis Borghi (SUI) – SJ Boys
In the special Coordinator’s Cup, awarded to the best overall performing nation, Germany claimed the victory.
Day 2 – Team Competitions
The second day was dedicated to the exciting team events, showcasing teamwork, national pride, and the true spirit of the FESA Games. The results were:
- SJ Girls: Austria
- SJ Boys: Italy
- NC Girls: Austria
- NC Boys: Slovenia
Looking Ahead
The FESA Games once again proved to be a valuable platform for Europe’s next generation of Nordic athletes, combining competition, friendship, and international exchange. All winners were honored with medals, recognizing their outstanding performances.
