Tuesday, January 14, 2025

Val Gardena, November 2024 – The third edition of FESA Speed Clinic, organized by the Val Gardena Saslong Classic Club, has concluded with outstanding results, taking place on the picturesque slopes of Piz Sella. Building on the momentum from its inaugural edition in November 2023 and a follow-up session in April 2024, the Organizing Committee of the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup in Val Gardena once again dedicated its resources to provide exceptional downhill (DH) and super-G (SG) training for female athletes born in 2007 and 2008.

The clinic offered participants and their coaches exclusive access to a specially designated training slope, complete with ski passes. They benefited from the expertise of former World Cup downhill athlete Werner Perathoner, who served as both project leader and coach for the event. The support extended beyond mentorship, as dedicated World Cup professionals ensured high-quality service, including meticulous slope preparation and comprehensive assistance throughout the training days.

This year's event attracted an impressive 81 athletes from 11 different countries, highlighting the clinic’s international appeal and commitment to nurturing the next generation of alpine skiing talent. The success of the Val Gardena Speed Clinic reaffirms its position as a vital platform for developing young athletes in the competitive world of alpine skiing.

Rainer Senoner, President of Saslong Classic Club stated: "We are convinced this is an efficient initiative to enhance our sport and future athletes, and already look forward to the next edition in 2025. The support of everybody is fundamental for the future of our sport!"
